It’s Thanksgiving week, which always gets me reflecting on how blessed we are as a family. I love to know how we can help out in the community, and The Austin Empty Bowl Project is one of the most unique, and fun ways to give.
The event is driven forward by Austin area potters and proceeds go to charities that fight hunger, such as Central Texas Food Bank and Meal on Wheels.
On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, you select your favorite bowl from thousands of locally crafted ceramic pieces and have it filled with gourmet soup and bread. Plus, you have live music and you can take the bowl home!
