The Center for Child Protection is one of my passions here in Austin, and April is Child Abuse Awareness Month.
Usually during the month of April, there are many different campaigns educating the public about the Center, but due to the Coronavirus Pandemic around the world, everything has fallen to the wayside.
Unfortunately, times like these, where children are with abusive parents who are stressed even more than usual, and they aren’t around teachers or adults who can report abuse, the incident rates are higher.
